A Study on the Experience of the Lawsuits for the Claim of Child Support for the Unmarried Mothers

Abstract
This study deals with the experience of lawsuits against unmarried mothers who have not received child support, and this study is based on the qualitative case study method proposed by Bryman and Burgess(2002). The study involved unmarried mothers with five child support claims cases, analyzing their specific cases and analyzing common themes in each case. The researcher approached the analysis in case and the analysis between cases. The data analysis results showed that 50 subjects were analyzed within the cases 11 common topics and 4 large areas were analyzed between the cases. The common themes among cases are ¡®Betrayal and Distrust of the Biological Father¡¯, ¡®Formal Law blocked by Irresponsibility of the Biological Father¡¯, ¡®Relinquishing Recognition and Forcing Legal¡¯, ¡®Self-help Relief¡¯, ¡®Non-Cooperation of the Original Family¡¯, ¡®Manipulative Tricks of the Biological Father¡¯, ¡®Support of Unmarried Mother¡¯s Meeting¡¯, ¡®Use of Public Service¡¯, ¡®Information access barrier¡¯, ¡®Lowest Level of Child Support¡¯, ¡®Limitations of pro bono¡¯. Based on the results of the study, the researcher discussed at the individual and institutional level and made concrete suggestions for the welfare promotion of the unmarried mother family.
